Chronologue Album “Wide Angle” Out Now

After years of getting acquainted with their new vocalist Lauren Johnston and releasing singles, Denver-based “progressive-pop” band Chronologue releases their first full-length album Wide Angle in May of 2025.

Wide Angle takes the listener on a genre-bending ride, from cinematic trailer music to bedroom R’n’B, and from pop punk back to indie rock. In true Chronologue fashion, there’s a healthy does of groovy odd time signatures and deep complex harmony, straight from some of the sharpest musical minds in Denver. Lyrically, singer Lauren Johnston touches on themes of emotional health, balance, the search for meaning, and running from (or embracing) the “Monster Within”.

Drummer and producer Bobby Ferguson had a blast working with the band. “This is music that no one person could typically come up with on their own. The amount of depth each member is contributing is (to me) profound, and is worth preserving and showcasing in the best light. I couldn’t rush through this project if I tried. Half of the production and mixing process is me becoming intimately familiar with the songs. The more emotional connection I have to the music, the better decisions I can make to nudge other listeners into having an emotional experience with our music.”

Wide Angle is available on all major streaming platforms.
